The Friday Academic Skills & Work Lab gives Beacon middle and high school students dedicated time to get organized, stay on top of schoolwork, and build the practical academic skills that make learning feel more manageable.
Each Friday combines supported work time with hands-on instruction in skills like organization, planning, note-taking, studying, test preparation, time management, and other strategies students can immediately apply to their own classes.
The goal isn’t simply to get this week’s homework done—it’s to help students develop the habits, systems, and confidence to become more independent learners.
